Homeopathic Liquids vs Pillules
A common question homeopaths receive is: What’s the difference between homeopathic liquids and pillules, and which is better?
The simple answer is that both are equally effective, the difference simply comes down to practicality and what best suits your needs. Below are a few key points to help you decide which type of remedy might work best for you and/or your child.
Pillules
Pillules are very small, sucrose-based pills that dissolve under (or on) the tongue. Unless your homeopath advises otherwise, the standard dose is two pillules per dose. To take pillues, tip two pillules from the bottle into the lid, then straight from the lid into the mouth. Avoid touching them directly, as the medicine is on the surface and can be disrupted by the oils on your skin.

Ideal for babies and young children as the liquids contain a very small oercentage of alcohol.
Liquid Remedies
Liquid remedies are dispensed in small dropper bottles and can be taken directly under the tongue or in a small amount of water. Before each dose, succuss the bottle by tapping it firmly against the palm of your hand 5–6 times to activate the remedy. A typical adult dose is 5–6 drops or 2-3 drops for older children. Please note that liquid remedies contain a very small amount of alcohol as a preservative and for this reason, people often elect to use pillules for babies and very young children.
